Kolhapur, May 6: Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Uddhav Thackeray while taking aggressive role on Barsu refinery project, warned the state government not to impose petrochemical refinery project with dictatorship and if the project is imposed then the Maharashtra will burn with agitations.
Mr Thackeray, who arrived in Ratnagiri to visit Barsu village for interaction with local people to listen to their complaints, said before the gathering who had come to welcome him that if the state government imposed the registration of the very project then we will burn the state, he challenged.
After arriving in Ratnagiri, Mr Thackeray while briefly talking with the people, said he had written a letter to prime minister Narendra Modi and suggested Barsu for the chemical project but not mentioned to impose the project on the people forcibly. He warned the state government if it tried to impose the project then we would take statewide agitation to protest against the project.
Mr Thackeray challenged pro-project agitators to face agitators, who were opposing the project, without police bandobadt in the justification of the refinery project.
With taking a clear stand, Mr Thackeray said he did not want destructive projects in Kokan and we also not want that there should not be ash for Maharashtra’s share and ‘Rangoli’ for Gujarat share.
