We will not do NRC, nor will we allow to do: Mamata

Malda, May 4 (UNI) “ I promise you, we will not do NRC, nor will we allow to do, ” asserted West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.
Speaking at the administrative meeting in Malda on Thursday, the Chief Minister expressed outrage against the NRC and clarified that the politics of BJP’s polarization in the name of NRC will not be tolerated at all in this state.
She appealed to the people of the state to register themselves in voter’s list to exercise right to vote as she said, “BJP’s antic to implement NRC continues.”
“Their new letter suggests those who don’t possess all the listed ID proofs will be declared as ‘foreigners’ & evicted,” Banerjee informed and stated that their “divisive tactics” won’t succeed.
“Register yourself in voter list & exercise your right to vote,” she added.
Banerjee also attended the ‘Trinamool Naba Jowar’ organized by the Trinamool Congress National General Secretary Abhishek Banerjee.
” I’m amazed at the huge crowd supporting this campaign. Seeing the spontaneous attitude of ordinary people, I ame swept away by the memories of mye early political career, ” Banerjee reminisced.
“ I salute all of you with a humble heart, ” she said.
